THE HAUNTED HOUSE Cáit Ní Néill

One halloween two friends called Amanda and Sophie went trick or treating. After several visits and bags full of sweets
they decided to go to the haunted house. When they got there they tried to gain entry through the door but it was stuck.
They looked around to see if there was another way in . As they rummaged around for a while they discovered what was
like a door in the ground. Was this a secret way in. There were bushes over it so they cleared them off and lifted up the
door.The saw steps leading downwards. They looked at each other and without a second thought Amanda bounded down the cellar. Sophie was left to keep watch. Amanda scream a g,,,g,,,ghost . Sophie ran to see what had
happened .The door shut when she got to her. They ran to the trap door but they found that door was shut .
They ran up stairs there was a hole in the roop. They climbed out and and jumped down the gutter they ran home and decided to never go back again .

THE HAUNTED HOUSE. Helen Ní Chaollaí

One day four friends named Katie, Tara, Jamie and Sam were going trick or treating. Katie dressed up as a witch, Jamie dressed up as a cat, Tara dressed up as a devil and Sam dressed up as a skeleton. It was getting dark so they decided to go home they were half way there when they saw an old abandoned house. But it wasn’t always abandoned. The last time someone lived in it was in 2002. Her name was Mrs. Cole she was 62 years of age. She was really nice. Every Halloween she would give out candy apples and chewing gum. So they ran up the hill it was placed on. And when they were all up. They saw the biggest door they had ever seen. They tried to push it open but it wouldn’t move. Then Tara saw a keyhole they looked all around and after a few minutes Katie found it under a withered flowerpot. Sam took the key off Katie and put it in the keyhole. It was a perfect fit. He opened the door and they all stepped in. they were inside THE HAUNTED HOUSE they didn’t now what to do. But then the door slammed shut. They all jumped. Then Sam suggested that they go explore the house they all agreed so they went up the dusty staircase and into a room. The furniture was all dusty and the walls were covered in cobwebs just then they heard a noise in the other room they all screamed and ran down the staircase and to the door. Katie tried to open it but it just wouldn’t move then Tara tried but she wasn’t able to. Then Jamie tried and even she couldn’t open it then last but not least Sam tried but it just would not open. When they had calmed down they went back upstairs to see what the noise was. It turned out to be a little kitten. The kitten was black and white with a little black nose they decided to call him Tom. It was at least 1’o clock at night so they decided to go home and eat their sweets.


The Haunted House by Aidan Carey

Characters: headless man, headless horse, myself, my friends Jack and Jill.

Once a big house was owned by a headless man and his headless horse. If you are wondering how they see, they see with their ghost head. In the house was so so scary and the windows were cracked, the door was locked with steal chains. Me and my friends Jack and Jill were walking past when Jack said, ‘Hey go and knock on the door of the haunted house, I dare you to’. ‘No’, I said, ‘I’m not your friend anymore’, said Jack. ‘Oh fine’, I said, ‘but do I have to?’. ‘YES!’, he shouted. My friend muttered at me with a strange face. So I went up to the house and knocked on the door. The door screamed as it opens, then suddenly I saw him… THE HEADLESS MAN!! I ran around the house as fast as I could but, ?...where was the headless man?
The headless man whistled for his horse, then suddenly the horse crashed through the front gate and ran over to him. The man got onto the horse and they ran after me. I ran around to the front gate again but where were Jack and Jill?? I did not stop, I kept running and running until I came to a dead end. It was a short wall dead end so I climbed over the wall and ran and ran and ran.
At this time my legs were on fire, I was like a racing car. The headless man and horse were still following me. I soon saw a prison and ran through but the headless man and horse got stuck in one of the cells. A guard saw what happened and asked me who were they? I said they were bad guys so he got his keys and locked him up and that was the last time I saw him. In the morning the town had a party.
